Call on the UK Government to continue to fund education for the world’s most vulnerable children

Globally over 250 million children are out of school – and UK aid cuts are making it worse.

Keir Starmer’s devastating cut to the aid budget to fund an increase in defence spending will take UK spending on overseas aid - as a share of gross national income - to its lowest level in nearly 30 years.

As the government balances its books against the world’s poorest, children are paying the price. 2.2 million children are now set to lose out on schooling because of the cuts.

Education is the most powerful tool we have to end poverty. Yet the Minister for International Development has told MPs that education and gender projects will be hardest hit by the cuts

Without urgent action, the world’s most vulnerable children will be left behind—permanently.

Write to your MP today and ask them to urge the government to rethink its aid cuts and ensure the UK continues to invest in educating the world’s poorest and most marginalised children.
